What is Poxels?
Poxels combines positivity with a minimalistic look. The software is designed to help users better understand their own feelings and thoughts without taking themselves too seriously. I mean, the app displays pixel animals on request … Pointless can also be fun!
What was the idea behind Poxels?
Poxels was created at the request of my girlfriend, who wanted an app with which she could track her own goals and routines. To be honest, there are already many apps like this. I therefore wanted to create something unique and gave the app her look and some matching features. The app kept growing and now I feel ready to share it with the outside world!
Can I use Poxels as a diary?
Yes, Poxel’s diary is divided into two parts, the journal and the toughts. You can record your personal highlights in the journal. The Thoughts, on the other hand, are for difficult situations. Sometimes it’s worth writing down these moments too. That way you can look back later on what you have already achieved!
What do I do with Smiles?
Poxels rewards you for achieving your goals and drinking enough. You get points for this, so-called Smiles. You can exchange these to unlock new color schemes for the app, new pixel animals or music, for example.
Does Poxels collect my personal data?
No, Poxels does not collect or share any data. Your entries are only saved locally on your device. This results in some limits, so it is currently not possible to transfer your entries between different devices. But your data stays with you – and that’s how it should be!
How does Poxels finance itself?
Poxels shows small banner ads on some pages. However, I have made sure that these banners do not interfere with the operation of the app at any time. I have deliberately avoided full-surface ads (so-called interstitials) that interrupt the use of the app. There may be an ad-free premium version in the future, but this will be completely optional. Poxels should remain accessible free of charge.
